Nate's Birthday part 2

we made dirt cake sundaes with mud (pudding), cement (cream), {gummy}worms and grubs, pebbles (mini M&Ms), gravel (sprinkles) and {pop}rocks

Nate got so many cars and Cars stuff.  He loved it!!

I gave him the piece that he dribbled on while blowing out the candles.  He turned it down in favour of chocolate.  haha

Had to include this cute photo of Loretta.  She's 11 months old this week.

Nate's birthday part 1

Nate on Saturday after he saw the lollies for his birthday party.

Uncle Jason was here for the weekend and Nicole came over to help with party prep.  So we celebrated a bit on Saturday night and opened a few presents, some from us and some from Grammy and Papa.

 new Mater toy

baseball and mitt from Grammy and Papa

new pants and shirt from Grammy and Papa.  He wore them to church on Sunday but alas no picture.

Catie and Emma enjoyed his new books.  Here they are reading his new Nate the Great book.  Emma read his other book "Goodnight goodnight Construction Site" to him before bed.

Naomi

After posting all these photos of the older 4 kids I thought I'd post a few of Naomi.  =)

Beach

If Grandma is in town she comes over every Thursday afternoon and picks up the 4 oldest kids.  She keeps them until bedtime then brings them home and puts them to bed.  (Josh and I go to the Young Marrieds' Bible Study on Thursday nights.)  She always has fun stuff planned for them and they get dessert every week!! haha.  A week ago they went for a big walk on the beach.  It got so late that they had fish and chips for dinner at the marina.  I love that she spends time with them and I love that she takes great photos so I get to share it too.

Nate & Daddy

Uncle Jason helping Nate on the climbing wall.  Nate loved it and got held up several times.  Thankfully this was as high as he wanted.  =)

 Daddy helping Nate

Daddy on the climbing wall.  The kids were cheering for him when he reached the top

Emma

Emma was the first of the girls to go on the flying fox.  You can tell in the first picture that she wasn't too sure of the whole idea.  But she jumped off and LOVED it.
