Gingerbread House

hmmm...the pictures are in some weird order but whatever. The girls made a gingerbread house. Well...they decorated it. Mom bought the kit and I hot glued the house together. Then they went to town decorating it with icing and lollies. Nathan just liked it when they spilled the lollies on the ground. =)

Lionel Train Display

Grammy and Papa took us to see the Lionel Train Display at North Park Mall in Dallas. The train display was so amazingly intricate. That tree alone had 5 different trains going around it! It was part of a display of New York City that was quite fascinating. And along one wall was a railroad showing the Golden Gate Bridge then the Grand Canyon and then sights to see in Texas. That's where you can see the Texas State Fair display along with Big Tex.

Christmas Parade

We went to the Flower Mound Christmas Parade with Tasha and Tanya's families. The kids loved it because they just sat on the curb looking cute and watching everything and people gave them lollies. Heaps of lollies. Several pounds of lollies!! Josh thought it was very chilly that day. =) As you can see we also had Flat Meghan with us. Remember when we took pictures with Flat Brandon a year or two ago? Well, Meghan asked us to do the same project for her. We've been having fun with Flat Meghan even though we really wish it was the real Meghan (and her brothers) here with us.

ice cream

My kids and Tasha's kids made homemade ice cream with Grammy. This is the set that my Uncle Lewis gave to me and my siblings a LONG time ago. =)

Cabela's

On our camera we had more pictures of all the fish and stuffed (real) animals and guns and a more head on picture of Josh sitting in the ginormous camping chair. Oh well.

Cousins

the funny one =)

Family Photos

Mom and Dad

Dad, Mom and the grandkids (minus my brother's 3.5 kids)

The whole group (again missing my brother and family)

These are the unedited versions of the pics we got taken the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's something we do every time we have the whole fam together. Todd and family were hoping to be there but Debbie is experiencing health issues with her pregnancy and her grandmother passed away that week as well. We sure missed them though.

date, camera, photos

Josh and I went out on a date the other day. Mom and Dad took the kids to Going Bonkers--an indoor play place, then out to eat at Cici's--an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet and then to the school Christmas program for their church. While they did that Josh and I went shopping at Lowe's--a home improvement store, Target and the Grapevine Mills Mall. We had lots of things to shop for, like the last of the girls' Christmas presents, their birthday presents and Dad's Christmas present. We found a camera on sale at Target so bought it. YAY!! It's a Canon PowerShot SX130 IS. We've had fun playing around with it the last couple days. So we should have more photos now. And I got all the photos off Mom's camera from the last couple weeks and Cassie shared some photos from our time in South Carolina. So I'll start uploading those onto the blog. TTFN!!

ummm...yeah

so, I haven't blogged much recently. We did take a 2,000+ mile trip recently. And I hardly ever make it upstairs to the computer. But most recently the reason is because...well...we lost the camera. =( We had it on our trip home but haven't seen it since we got home. So all the pics of Thanksgiving dinner, the play the kids put on (with Catie wearing my old Pilgrim costume), pics with Auntie Jennifer, all the pictures from Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop, all the ones from our trip to Georgia and South Carolina with a side trip to see the gingerbread houses in North Carolina, etc. ughhh

on the upside, maybe now I can talk Josh into a new swish camera. =)

Grammy's Attic

Grammy's attic is full of fun stuff to play with. I was up there with the girls for an hour or so and they've been up there several times since. As you can see Jennifer was checking out Dad's Louis L'Amour collection. After a bit Josh and Nate went downstairs to check out the door on Jason and Tanya's Suburban that we are borrowing.
