Happy Birthday, Catie!!

Catie turns 9 today!! The last year before double digits! How is it that my first born is already this old? We had a bunch of friends over for brunch yesterday. Catie decorated the cake and cupcakes herself. We kept it nice and simple.

playing pretend at Grandma's

The girls love to play pretend. Apparently at Grandma's they had quite the town going. Grandpa and Nathan must have been council workers in charge of the grounds. haha. Emma was the grocer, Catie the hairdresser and Beka was the banker. Grandma was the photographer. =)

clock positions

I don't have a picture of when I first put Naomi on the rug today but she was closer to the couch and her feet would have been at 9 o'clock if you think of them as 12 o'clock in the first picture and 3 o'clock in the second picture. She just lays there so nicely and quietly and looks around everywhere. This was the day that Nate, Naomi and I stayed home while Josh went to work with the Challacombe's and took the girls with him. Nathan is holding Naomi's hand and helping her go "pat, pat, pat" like they say to do in the Little Einsteins video they are watching. =)

Workers

The girls came to me all dressed up asking if they looked like workers. Emma said maybe she should wear one of Josh's fluoro work shirts. I suggested Catie's green t-shirt but she ended up changing to Beka's bright orange t-shirt. =)

This girl will be 9 in a week. 9!! that's crazy!! She is growing up so fast. These are two papers she's written for me in the last week. In the one she is organizing her birthday brunch. And the other was from when we were at Bible study and Chantelle was babysitting them.
